From the Nation: why it is impossible to indict a cop

This is something I need to share with my loyal reader: consider it a reblogging. The article appeared in The Nation and tells in more detail about why in case after case police shootings of African-Americans are almost always ruled justifiable homicide. This pattern has been consistent across the United States despite various inconsistencies in the stories that the police use to explain the shootings. See for yourself
